Overview – Remote Support enables Evolved Home technicians to access your Controller to make programming changes. BakPak enabled routers enable us to monitor and correct network issues and perform firmware updates on a wide variety of devices. IP addressable power centers allow us to be notified of potential power issues, including under voltage, over voltage, battery back up level, and power outages. We can also reboot devices by power cycling the outlet they are connected to. All of these remote capabilites enable us to respond faster, and at a lower cost than a site visit, to keep your system running optimally. Service hours are Mon-Fri 8am – 5pm.
Basic Telephone Support – Many simple issues can be resolved by speaking with one of our support technicians on the phone. This may be able to avert a more expensive site visit.
Remote Programming – Our support technicians can connect to your Control 4 system remotely to change basic programming features including modifying scheduled events, adjusting light levels, and various other functions.
72 Hour Response Time – Most issues are resolved within this time period for clients on the Pay Per Incident Plan.
Priority Remote Support – Pro Active and Pro Active Plus plan members receive priority response on service issues. Most issues resolved in 24-48 hours.
4 Sight Subscription – This is an annual license from Control 4 that allows you to access your home system from a smart phone or tablet whether you are at home or on vacation. It is also required in order to receive email notifications or to use Amazon Alexa voice control. This license is normally $100 annually, but is included with Pro Active and Pro Active Plus plans, when you commit to a 24 month term.
Remote Rebooting – When your system includes IP addressable power centers, our technicians can remotely connect to the power center to reboot devices that may be locked up. This is one of the most common service call issues.
Remote Firmware Updates – Evolved Home support staff can perform minor control system firmware updates, and if your system includes a BakPak enabled network device, we can also perform updates to a wide range of other devices.
Email Notifications – Receive email notifications from system events or devices. ” The Kids are home from school – 3:08pm – Smart Door Lock”. Requires 4 Sight Subscription.
Discounted Pro Router – In order to join the Pro Active or Pro Active Plus support plans you must have a BakPak enabled network device. If you don’t already have this device, you will receive a substantial discount on the installation and programming of this device when you commit to a 24 month term. We use commercial class, gigbit routers for robust and reliable networking. Ask for details.
Primary Controller Upgrade – Pro Active and Pro Active Plus members who have owned their system for at least 6 months are eligible for a 15% discount when they upgrade their Primary Controller.
Control 4 Product Discounts – Pro Active and Pro Active Plus members are eligible for 10% Off Control 4 products that are purchased during the Primary Controller Upgrade.
Alarm Monitoring – Pro Active Plus members save $10.00 per month by combining Alarm monitoring with Remote Support. Your Alarm system will be professionally monitored by a local UL certified central monitoring station.
Fire Alarm Monitoring – In addition to burglary alarm monitoring, our smoke detectors can report fire events to the central station, and fire department personell will be dispatched. Requires DSC Neo or Power Series Panel.
